Atlas: Speech converter, with Simon Lavington (1969) (Catalogue 2)

• Simon Lavington wrote a brief summary of the University's work on speech conversion in July 2023 and that provides a good description of the project.
  
• This image was taken in the Dover Street building before the Kilburn Building was opened. The date given by Simon Lavington and the windows in the background confirm.
• Note that this copy is reflected L-R.
  
• The speech converter and the SPP1 library are described in detail in: "Some facilities for speech processing by computer", S. H. Lavington and L. E. Rosenthal, The Computer Journal, Volume 9, Issue 4, pages 330 – 339, February 1967.
