How to use HIC

Tap on the search box, type your search term and tap enter on the keyboard.

In the search results, tap on an image to see its details in a new page. The button at the bottom of the page (equivalent to your browser's back button) returns you to your search results.

If your search term contains several space-separated words, each search result will contain all of the words. To search for a complete phrase, enter it "in quotes". To exclude results which contain one or more words/phrases, prefix each word/phrase with a hyphen.

For example, the following search will find all items which contain both "Tom Kilburn" and "computer", but not "building".

    "Tom Kilburn" computer -building

A search term cannot comprise only an exclusion. For example, the search "-building" will not return any results.

Search ideas: "Mark I", Williams, Edwards, "the Baby", Mercury, Atlas, Leo, Meg.

On small devices HIC has limited functionality. For all features, and to see high-resolution images, use HIC on a desktop computer.
