• Eric Dunstan's PhD thesis (1962) gives the head characteristics in Table 3 (between p99 and p100) as:
  Number of heads in a block = 18
  Track Width = 0.030 inches
  Distance between head centres in a block = 0.098 inches
  Gap Length = 0.002 inches
  Head Winding Center Tapped
  Inductance of Each Half = 60 micro H
  Indictance of Complete Winding = 190 micro H
